This past Friday morning the Grim Cheaper and I headed out to Palm Springs for a little three-day getaway and, while I did manage to sneak some stalking into the trip, I was unfortunately not able to write a blog post for today. But I will be back tomorrow with a whole new location, so . . .

On the way to Palm Springs, do you ever stop to see the Dinosaurs in Cabazon (just off Hwy 10)? I remember them from the movie, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure but according to this website, other movies have been filmed there as well along with a Tears for Fears video. Do you or your sources know what other movies have filmed at the dinosaurs?

I think the end of The Wizard was also filmed there.
I have seen the dinosaurs from the road, but have never stopped to take pictures. I had actually planned on doing so this trip, but we got a late start driving home and I wasn’t able to. 🙁 Next time! I am not sure of what other movies have been filmed there, but I will see what I can dig up.
